Protecting Your Business
Have you ever considered the catastrophic effects a hurricane may have
on your business, your employees and your life? Following Hurricane
Andrew, an estimated 8,000 businesses and 100,000 jobs were
seriously impacted.
The Tampa Bay area could experience even more severe losses.
Developing a written hurricane preparedness plan, and training
employees to implement it, is critical.
The Department of Labor states that 40% of businesses never reopen
after being impacted by a disaster. Hoping a storm will not impact your
business is not a strategy or plan of action. The only way to survive a dis
aster is to Get a Plan!
The Office of Emergency Management can provide assistance in
developing both your hurricane procedure and staff training program.
